An interesting new site doing the rounds in the blogosphere today is Rollyo.

 

This is a customised search engine that allows you to create a “Searchroll” of your favourite sites.  You can create multiple Searchrolls, so you can create them within specific topics, and each with their own tags.  I’ve created 2 - one for sites that relate to Shorinjiryu Karate, and one for On The Go.

 

You can create your searchrolls as private or public, and thus allow others to be able to get the benefit of your network.

 

I find the searching to be a little slow at this time, but it is still a beta, so hopefully they’ll get their indexing right.

 

It seems to me that this technology is nice, and I hope the del.icio.us also introduce a service to search the sites in a particular user’s list or even a single tag.  Wide search like Google is great when you’re going through the haystack, but targeted search around sites you already know are relevant is a great addition.
